"Dobie....has been making audiences laugh since 1985 with his raucous tales of woe and growing up..."

Dobie Maxwell has criss-crossed North America countless times as a comedian and has
appeared
in 48 states and much of Canada.
He's headlined major comedy clubs, minor comedy clubs, clubs that have a comedy night, one night stands
that shouldn't have comedy, colleges, festivals, corporate parties, birthday parties, retirement parties,
frat parties, Tupperware parties, happy hours, bowling banquets, weddings, churches, synagogues,
bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs, men's clubs, ladies clubs, golf outings, high school graduations,
class reunions, fundraisers, charity events, contests, cruise ships, bus tours, radio station events,
and music venues.
"I've been to places neither Rand nor McNally has ever heard of," he says. "I've got more miles on me
than the Space Shuttle."
Dobie uses a microphone as his own personal paint brush to add brilliant color and texture
to his canvas - the audience.
Every show is unique and Dobie prides himself in never doing the exact same show twice. "Miles Davis once said he played SOME of the same songs every night but he never played them
in exactly the same way. Well, me too. I like to do a one of a kind show for each individual audience,
even if I do more than one show in a single night. It's my personal gift to them and I want it to be special."
One thing Dobie has learned how to do is be versatile. "I had to," he says. "Or I would have been out of
the business early. I needed to learn to entertain a wide variety of audiences to get paid so that's what I did. Bookers have always told me they can put me in front of bikers or seniors or teenagers and I can pull off a show. They're right. But it took a lot of years to be able to do that. That's where the craftsmanship comes in. Comedy is truly a craft."
Comedy is much better LIVE. It's like sushi - the fresher the better. Come out and see a
master craftsman apply his trade live and in person!
